MORNING BULLETIN:   Friday, November 21, 2008

LUNCH MENU:   Chicken taco or French dip sandwich, corn, fruit & veggie bar, choice of milk.

ALL STUDENTS & STAFF:  On Saturday, Nov. 22nd, the Idaho National Guard Alpha Company 116th BSTB along with their families, city employees and community members will be spending part of the day cleaning up the streets and alleyways of Homedale. This event has been planned by Charles Garrison and our area Family Readiness Group as a way for the Guard to give back to our community, who has supported them during their service. You are all invited to join them in their cleanup efforts, as many of the streets and alleys surrounding our businesses and residences will be getting some TLC on Saturday. We will be meeting at City Hall at 10:00 am and will disburse from there. (thru 11/21)

ALL STUDENTS:  Remind your Parents:  Parent-Teacher conferences will be held on Nov. 24th from 3:30 - 7:00 p.m.
                                                                No school from Nov. 26 - 28 for Thanksgiving vacation

ALL STUDENTS:  Winter Formal Dance will be held Dec. 6th from 9:00 - midnight.  Admission is $7.00/single; $10.00/couple.  If you plan to bring an out-of-town guest to the dance, you must sign them up (in the high school office) by noon on Dec. 3rd.  (thru 12/5)

ALL STUDENTS:  No students are allowed in either gym during lunch without a staff member supervising.  Also, please remember to eat your lunches in the cafeteria, on the "red & white tiles", or outside.  Most important - clean up after yourselves!  The annex building and upstairs, as well as the stairwell, are are off limits to students during lunch without special permission and supervision by a staff member.  NO sunflower seeds in any campus buildings!  (thru 11/25)

ALL STUDENTS:  It has been reported that trash is being left at the City Park and at the Catholic Church behind the High School. You need to start picking up after yourselves or the park and such will be closed. (thru 11/21)

ALL STUDENTS:  Dec. 5th, Treasure Valley Community College is hosting a tour and providing a bus. See the counseling office for details.  (thru 11/25)

SENIORS:  If you have any questions about scholarships, see Ms. DeWitt, the TRIO representative or check out the school website.  

SENIORS:  A 1,000 dollar Burger King Scholarship is available for students who work an average of 15 hours per week. Must have at least a 2.5 GPA. Check out this and other new scholarships on the website.  (thru 12/1)

SENIORS:  The State of Idaho sponsors several scholarships and has an on-line scholarship application process.  The application deadline is January 15, 2009.   The application process takes about 30 minutes, and students can apply on-line from the following website:  http://www.boardofed.idaho.gov/scholarships/index.asp   (thru 1/15)

9TH GRADERS:  You will be taking the DWA (Direct Writing Assessment) on Dec. 2nd.  Be prepared for writing by getting a good nights sleep and eating breakfast.  (thru 12/2)

SOFTBALL meeting will be held Friday, Nov. 21st during lunch in room 105.  Final wreath money must be turned in at that meeting.  (thru 11/21)

DRAMA CLUB:  Practice on Nov. 21.  Noon meeting on Nov. 19 and 25.  Parent meeting on Nov. 25 @ 7:00 pm. (thru 11/25)

FHLA Members: Please come to a short meeting at lunchtime Monday, Nov. 24th, in Rm. 109. We will talk about the concert tickets and series coming up. Bring your lunch and hurry in.  (thru 11/24)
