School Meals Available at No Cost to All Students
Homedale School District is pleased to announce that all schools in the district participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). Through CEP, all enrolled students are eligible to receive one healthy breakfast and one healthy lunch each school day at no cost. Families do not need to complete a free and reduced-price meal application for their children to receive these meals.
Meals must meet federal nutrition standards established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Additional meals, à la carte items, or adult meals are available for purchase.
If your household may qualify for other educational benefits, the district may ask families to complete an Alternative Household Income Form. Information provided on this form is used only to determine eligibility for certain state and federal programs and does not affect a student's eligibility to receive free school meals.

Lunchroom Charge Policy
OFFICIAL LUNCH CHARGE POLICY (Revised May 2021)
Accounts must be prepaid on students for breakfast/lunch. All parents/guardians may fill out applications for free/reduced meals. All children will be limited to $-10.00 in charges. Ala Carte or “extra” items may not be charged to a meal account with a negative balance. Arrangements may be made in advance, if necessary, for students that will go over the limit in charges. After reaching the $-10.00 limit on charges, students will not be allowed to charge further meals until a parent/guardian makes arrangements with the Food Service Department.
If there is ever a problem with making a payment on your lunch account, please call 208-337-4033 or come speak privately with a member of the lunch staff or the main office staff. We will help you figure out a solution. There are usually options available for help with any matter that may arise.

Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program (FFVP)
The Homedale School District is proud to participate in the Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program (FFVP), a federally funded grant program that provides FREE fresh fruits and vegetables to all students in Kindergarten through 6th Grade throughout the school year.
The FFVP introduces students to a wide variety of fresh, nutritious produce while encouraging healthy eating habits that can last a lifetime. By offering fresh fruits and vegetables during the school day, we help students discover new foods, build healthy choices, and support their overall well-being.
Program Goals
- Increase students' consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Expand the variety of fruits and vegetables students have the opportunity to try.
- Promote lifelong healthy eating habits and improve students' current and future health.
- Create healthier school environments by providing nutritious snack options.
