Many resources for teachers are available on the web. We have linked some sites here for your convenience. If you know of other good sites, email the link and a brief description of the site to webadmin@homedaleschools.org and it will be included on this page.

  • Share My Lesson - Lesson plans developed by teachers, for teachers - and linked to Common Core Standards. Search for lesson plans K-12 and download resources. Membership is free!

  • Easy CBM - Set up your class and allow students to prepare for the ISAT using the practice questions. Accounts for teachers are FREE! Requires teacher set up

  • Quia Web - Quia provides a wide variety of tools, including templates for creating online activities, complete online testing tools that allow you to create quizzes that are graded online, plus access to millions of activities created by teachers from around the world.

  • Read, Write, Think - Lesson plans, interactives, calendar activities, and more, right at your fingertips. Search by grade level, topic, or keyword.

  • Canyon Owyhee Library Group - Need a video or DVD to use in your classroom? Check out the COLG website's list. Follow the link above and then click the "Find Videos and DVD's" link on the left of the page. Browse the list of resources that are available for interlibrary loans. (Contact Mr. McMillan at the high school library if you would like to borrow a video or DVD from another member library.)

Engage your students with online activities that enhance your classroom curriculum. Join the Scholastic Teacher Community and share your successful activities, lesson plans, and strategies.

  • Scholastic Homework Hub - Supplies innovative tools, resources, and top-notch tips to support student homework success while strengthening the home-school connection.

  • AlgebraLab - An online learning environment that focuses on topics and skills from high school mathematics that students must be able to draw upon in their introductory science courses.

  • Writing Analysis with WORDLE - Wordle is a tool for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. A great way to analyze a piece of writing - and fun, too!

  • Note-Taking - Students (or teachers) can take notes online and access them from any internet-connected computer with EverNote.com. Or try PinDax.com for an innovative note-taking "message board" which allows chat and comments.

  • Skrbl (scribble) - Foster student interaction with this online interactive whiteboard environment. Multiple users can chat, text, and draw all in the same place in real-time with Skrbl!!

  • SchoolTube - This site is a greate resource for viewing videos created by students and teachers. Or create your own videos and share them with others! (Posted videos can be designated as public or private.)

  • Internet Safety Lessons - Free K-12 standards based lesson plans help students think criticaly about the internet as a communication and collaboration tool. Search by grade level or topic.

  • Digital Portfolios - You've heard of digital portfolios but haven't tackled them with your students?!? With this site you can learn what electronic portfolios are and discover how they can help you and benefit your students.
