Congratulations to Homedale Middle School's Future City Team!
The Future City Team lead by Science Teacher Amy Vitek won First Place in the 8th Annual Idaho Regional Future City Competition! Their city, R.A.I.N. - Recyclable Alternative Innovatve Neighborhood - was presented at BSU to an audience of several hundred including college professors, community professionals, parents, mentors, teachers, and students on Saturday, January 21 by Michael Lejardi, Madi Fisher, and Elizabeth Hernandez.
The project also won two additional special awards:
Best Management of Water Resources (sponsored by JUB Engineers, Inc.) and
Best Virtual City Model (sponsored by Hewlett Packard)
The team will travel to Washington, D.C. later this year where they will present their project in the National Future City Competition.
This is the second year in a row that the Homedale Middle School Future City Team has won the top prize in the Idaho Regional Competition!
Trojan Cheer Camp 2012!
When: Saturday, February 4th 9am - 1pm
Where: Homedale High School
Who: Anyone in Kindergarten through 8th grade
Cost: $30
Campers will perform at half-time with the HHS Cheerleaders!
Plus, get a camp T-shirt to wear at the game!

Have you recently replaced a cell phone, laptop, iPod, or other device? Consider donating your old technology items to HSD for recycling. Not only does your donation assist the district in raising funds for technology, it helps the environment!

Your used item(s) may be tax deductible and will be recycled in accordance with EPA regulations or refurbished and sold. 100% of the proceeds will help fund technology in the Homedale School District. This fundraiser continues year-round so keep us in mind for all your technology recycling!
Drop your donated items into a recycle bin in the main office at any Homedale school or at the District Office. Click here to print a tax receipt.
